PROUDLY VOTING FOR A FLIP FLOPPER
John McCain has been in politics over 25 years. His policy opinions and viewpoints on issues is bound to change over the years. Thank goodness they have. Don’t your views on things change as you mature and experience life. As the landscape of America evolves…so should we bend and flex to changing times, while continuing to stand firm for core beliefs. I don’t understand why some people have a problem with the “flip-flop”. I think part of the problems our current administration has is because they seem unwilling to change strategy when needed….a change of opinion is not a bad thing. Nancy Pelosi has blocked our elected Congress from having an up or down vote on offshore drilling. Around 70% of Americans now believe we should be drilling offshore or in Anwar. Aren’t the politicians running for office supposed to represent the people! Let’s tell our politicians what we want, and then let’s not accuse them of a flip-flop if they change positions for our benefit. Nancy Pelosi would do good to have a “Flip Flop” moment of her own.

Who I am!
I went all political the other night so I thought I'd do a little Holly and Family update.
My name is Holly. I am a twenty-seven year old dental hygienist hailing from good ole' northern Illinois. We are having some record snowfalls up this way this year. We almost had 12 inches earlier this week and I think we are supposed to get another 5 tonight. Yuk! Anyway, I grew up in Winnebago, Illinois. Small town! You know you go to a small country school when once a year for fun they let you drive your tractors, lawn mowers, and ATV's into school. I'm not joking by the way. But, I did like it a lot out there. Wouldn't be opposed to finding a small town to let the kids grow up in, but for now we are content. I went to college at Parkland Community College in Champaign-Urbana and got my associates in science for Dental Hygiene. I absolutely love what I do and can't imagine doing anything different.
My hubby's name is Tim. He is thiry-six. Yes, we are 9 years apart. That used to seem like a bigger deal than it is now but funny how time sorta changed all that. I was 20 and he was 30 when we first met, and then it seemed slightly scandalous! =) Not really though! We have been married 5 1/2 years. I met Tim at a gym in Rockford. We had our first date on Christmas day 2001. We went to see the movie ALI. I didn't like the movie, but I sure liked him! Anyway, Tim works as a exercise physiologist at Rockford Cardiology. He does nuclear stress-testing. He also runs the weight room at Christian Life Schools in Rockford. He personal trains at Peak Fitness too. Keeps him busy!! Some of his favorite hobbies are: working out, kickboxing, tanning, doing "cardio", and playing with his kids.
Timothy Vaughn Bauscher III was born on January 19, 2004. I bawled like a baby. I was so surprised we had a little boy to love on! He goes by "Vaughn". He is a so much fun. ALL BOY! He is usually the center of attention, smiling, laughing, bossy, and imaginative! A sweet and tender heart belongs to that little one! I love him so much! He is going to preschool now. His favorite things are Power Rangers, Lightning McQueen, his cat Mitzer, eating candy, and playing games.
Miss Johanna Faith Bauscher was born on December 16, 2005. I was overjoyed to have a little girl to forever shop, chat, and play dress-up with. She goes by "Joie". Have you notice we like nicknames. She is my sweetly shy and tender-hearted one! Full of love for her big brother, mommy, and daddy! She is a girl's girl! Slightly stubborn at times, but hey it's a woman's prerogative. I love her so much! Her favorite things are Doodlebops, shoes, princesses, the color pink, and tossing clothes out of mommy's laundry basket.
Well, that's us! The Bauscher Family!

A Political Bausch Blogging!
Hi everyone...even though I don't really know who everyone is??? I'm pretty sure only my neighbor will much care what the heck I have to write....so in that case...Hi Darcy. Actually she's the one that introduced me to blogging. So here goes....
So today is Super Tuesday right! Kinda exciting. I had to stay up late to see how the election results played out. Really still don't know a whole lot. I know John McCain is doing good. He's my choice for Pres in 08'. I'll tell you why I like him. He listens!! I'm telling you people....he listens!! He is conservative...no matter how the Kool-Aid right-wingers paint him out to be (Rush Limbaugh has it all wrong). I really like McCain because in the words of GWB, he's a uniter. He will work with both parties and get some things done. Not much has been going on in Washington the last 4 years. I blame mostly the Democrats in Congress...they accomplished practically nothing. A few No Confidence votes here and there....but really, NOTHING! Now I do have to say that the GOP needs to step it up too. Lots of talking going on and not many results as far as I'm concerned. I like John McCain for his strength in Leadership. His personal story of trials and success goes to show what a hero this man is. I feel he could lead this country. I think he would listen to the people. As much as I loved GWB in the beginning, he has done his time and it's time for someone new. Although you have to give him props for sticking to his guns regarding the surge. Not a popular position to take but look how the death toll in Iraq has went down. I think he's really trying to do right by the American people but I think wartime presidents always have it hard. I mean who really wants war. But I do believe we are safer because of GWB!
Wow...so I guess there's my first blog. I am kinda in a political mood today, and rightly so! It's exciting!
